ReCircle
Co-Founder & COO
Gurashish believes in the power of a circular economy towards creating a more sustainable future. Together with his co-founder Rahul Nainani, the duo launched ReCircle in 2016 in response to one of the greatest challenges of our time — waste recovery. Eight years on, ReCircle is one of the leading clean-tech startups on a mission to create a circular economy. He is the energetic engine behind the brand’s strategic direction for sales, business development and human resources. With almost a decade of experience, he drives operations to fulfil Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations for companies such as HUL, Dabur, Marico, UNDP India and Tata Starbucks. A tireless ambassador in his own right, he also liaises with the government on policy changes and challenges affecting all stakeholders — consumers, brands, collectors and processors. A true all-round homegrown social entrepreneur, his work has received several awards and featured in prominent publications such as Hindustan Times and Telegraph. He has also shared ReCircle’s story at conferences such as TedX. He has recently been featured among a coveted list of personalities in the Fortune 40 under 40 list for the year 2024. Gurashish holds a degree in Bachelors in Management Studies at Smt. MMK college of Commerce, and currently lives in Mumbai — India.
